GAD Accomplishment Report not substantiated by HGDG results

Pulilan · 2023

Severity: ModerateRecommendation: Implemented

What Happened?

Category: ComplianceIssue: Non-compliance

The municipality's report on its Gender and Development programs was not backed up by the required HGDG assessment tool, which is supposed to show whether gender concerns were actually integrated into programs and projects.

Why It Matters

Recommended Actions

  • Requirethe GFPS to continue to comply with the budgetary requirement of at least 5% of the Municipality's total budget appropriation for GAD PPAs
  • Prioritize the implementation of the identified PPAs as per GPB to achieve and promote desirable gender responsive society
  • And fully utilize the GAD budget to attain the objective for which the fund was appropriated
  • We also recommended that the LCE require the GFPS to utilize the HGDG tool to guarantee the integration of gender concerns in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Municipality's PPAs and to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of its mainstreaming efforts

Original Audit Finding Excerpt
