Original Audit Finding Excerpt

"Inquiry with the MTO disclosed that there was no remittance made in January 2022. It can be seen from the table above, that there were no remittances for some months. Review of the subsidiary ledgers showed that the recording of the remittances was only delayed. The actual remittances were made through online transfers on their due months. According to the MAO, the delay in the recording of the remittances was due to the resignation of the employee handling the process. The unrecorded remittances were only noted upon checking of the new employee."
